I completed B. Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunications in the year 2015. I worked as a software engineer for a year and left my job in the year 2017. To enhance my portfolio, I want to study further. I am clueless about the same since I am not interested in doing M. Tech or MBA. Instead, I want to master in some Industry Oriented Training and am willing to go abroad for the same. Please suggest me a good preposition on the same lines.

Typically, on completion of B. Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunication, candidates choose to pursue the same alternatives that you ruled out. But, I can understand if doing MBA or M. Tech is not your calling. Since you mentioned that you are willing to fly abroad, I would suggest you to pursue Masters of Science (MS) or PhD programs in the US.
To be eligible for admission for MS in the foreign countries, you have to appear for certain entry level tests such as:

  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
  • Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
  • Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT)

Major Universities offering MS in the US are:

  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology
  • MA Stanford University
  • University of California
  • University of Illinois
  • California Institute of Technology
  • Georgia Institute of Technology
  • GA University of Michigan
  • Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh
  • NY Princeton University

As a rule, one cannot do PhD without getting a masters degree; however, a few universities in the US offer PhD programs to students right after completion of bachelors’. These courses are a combination of masters and PhD programs. Top US universities offering PhD after bachelors’ have been listed below:

  • MIT
  • Harvard
  • Caltech
  • Princeton
  • Yale
  • University of Chicago
  • Columbia University
  • University of Pennsylvania
  • Cornell University
  • John Hopkins University
