Hi Prasenjit, Your background, graduation degree and work experience will definitely be accepted on top MBA colleges. In fact it will enhance your prospects for these colleges so be confident about your overall background. This is how you should choose MBA Courses: Write CAT (Common Admission Test) conducted by IIMs. Give your best shot to get into top IIMs (not the new ones like IIM Ranchi or Rohtak). If you are getting into top 20 or 30 colleges of Indian then go for MBA Normal course. If you can’t get into their normal MBA courses then you should try for Executive MBA in top 10-15 colleges of India. You are eligible for GMAT and CAT both. You also have an added advantage of extensive work experience and Engineering background (even though you got into it by doing just a course and not a degree). MBA in Finance is a good option and placements are quite good in top colleges Never go for an MBA if you are not able to get into top colleges in India.
