Hi, You require a methodical and hardworking approach in order to do a Ph.D. from a recognized U.S. college. Following are my suggestions:
- a) Firstly, concentrate on getting a good score in your B.Tech final examinations. This will better your chances of Ph.D. admission.
- b) Try to immediately get some good practical experience in a laboratory or project related to biotechnology. Almost all U.S. universities prefer candidates with such experience. Internship and co-curricular assignments will also help.
- c) You will have to take and get good marks in the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) to qualify for a U.S. Ph.D. Please refer to reliable sources for an updated list of GRE cutoffs for U.S. universities.
- d) Find out well in advance about the finance costs, travel formalities, and residential details involved.
All the best!
