I am doing masters in biotechnology from symbiosis international university. I have completed my 2 semesters and another 2 semesters are remaining, which will be completed in April 2016. After my studies I am looking forward to work and do phd from USA. For this I need some kind of guidance. So can you help me with it?

Hi, You require a methodical and hardworking approach in order to do a Ph.D. from a recognized U.S. college. Following are my suggestions:

1. a) Firstly, concentrate on getting a good score in your B.Tech final examinations. This will better your chances of Ph.D. admission.
2. b) Try to immediately get some good practical experience in a laboratory or project related to biotechnology. Almost all U.S. universities prefer candidates with such experience. Internship and co-curricular assignments will also help.
3. c) You will have to take and get good marks in the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) to qualify for a U.S. Ph.D. Please refer to reliable sources for an updated list of GRE cutoffs for U.S. universities.
4. d) Find out well in advance about the finance costs, travel formalities, and residential details involved.
