Amandeep kiran asked 6 years ago Hello , my name is Amandeep and I want to ask about the education options after graduation in B.com , I have tried Chartered Accountancy course but I didn’t succeed and because of that I didn’t focus on my B.com examination and now I’m stuck and the eligibility criteria for MBA is minimum 50% in graduation which I don’t have .So I seek your advice on this. Don’t get disheartened by the low marks in Graduation. If you want to do MBA, then it is better to do a job for 2-3 years (Ideally three years). You can also do Masters through correspondence if you wish. After some work experience, you can do Executive MBA Programs (1 year) which is as good as normal 2-years MBA programs. The low marks in your graduation will not affect admission in 1-year MBA programs as they mainly consider the quality of work experience and CAT score (if you are doing from IIM or Top colleges in India). GMAT scores will be considered if you want to do MBA from abroad.
At this stage, you can do anything you are passionate about. Low score in graduation will have short term impact on your career but it will hardly matter in the long run.
