Hello. Defence jobs can be in sectors like the army, navy, and air force including backup agencies and operations.
Defence eligibility in India is managed by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The UPSC conducts a ‘Combined Defence Services’ (CDS) written test twice a year for recruitment into the various defence academies. To take this exam, you need to be an unmarried graduate.
Once you clear this exam, you will need to pass a Services Selection Board (SSB) interview to gain admission to the academies. Each academy prescribes age limits (between 19 and 25 years). Also, you will to clear further tests including medical exams.
After graduating from the academies, you can get several field, reconnaissance, and back office jobs connected to the armed forces.
